This "Foodie" site is a collaborative effort by a group of women who all share a common bond - "Love of cooking and eating." Below you can read a little bit about each of us.
In Search of Green
Hi - my pen name is "In search of green." I'm an eco-conscientious entrepreneur. I started my own small business 3 years ago manufacturing and selling 100% biodegradable dry-erase wall planners and organizers. www.planetsafeplanners.com I've been a recipe collector my whole life. My favorite cuisine is Italian - the food I grew up with almost every night of the week! I think Italian food is the ultimate comfort food. I've attended many cooking classes and schools over the years - most recently in Tuscany at La Toscana Saporita. I'm most passionate about finding truly authentic recipes - especially ones that have never been published in any cookbook. I have been known to stop little old ladies in the streets of Italy to beg them for advice and tips on using truly authentic Italian ingredients. I also like to put a healthy twist on any recipe I find. Most of my diet is vegan with the occasional splurge with some organic grass-fed beef or chicken. I will be exploring baking my own breads over the upcoming year and look forward to trying the recipes by fellow SWAT members.
